ASSEMBLING STUDENTS
Attached below are links to videos and articles that contain great tips on how and why to assemble your student body:
1) "Stepping Up: The Social Justice Activist" by KQED Education

2) The ACLU is a great place to explore what rights you have as a student. "If you’re a public school student, you don’t check your constitutional rights at the schoolhouse doors." Follow the link below to discover what rights you have on campus and how to utilize them.
3) Creating a petition. Before you do this, Periodt Power highly encourages you to send a letter to your administration, for a template on how to do that check out our "Writing Proposals" page. But, if this doesn't work, a petition is a great way to generate support from your student body and call attention to your cause. "Principals who are smart or experienced get worried when petitions circulate because they know this can be the start of something bigger." Check out the "Shake Up Your School" link and the "30 Petition Templates + How To Write Petition Guide" link to find out more about why petitions matter, how to write one, and great editable template options.
